Q: Do children need to be toilet trained to attend?
A: No they do not need to be toilet trained. We accept children who are 2 years and older and just request a change of clothes and diapers to be kept in r ed bag in case.
Q: How many duty days are required?
A: It is usually 1 duty day every 2 weeks. Friday Club is usually 1 duty day every 6 weeks.
Q: What if my child is sick?
A: Please phone into the school and leave a message so the teacher?s know not expect your child that morning. If it happens to be your duty day as well, first try to switch with one of the parents from the opposite week of your duty day. Then try the emergency parents on the list provided on duty day calendar. As a last resort call the teacher’s.
Q: How soon and where do I get a Police Check?
A: Go to Burlington Police station and fill out a Police Reference Check, the cost is $15.00. The best time to go is through the summer as it is not as busy as in September. Remember you are only able to perform one duty day without a police check.
Q: Do the children go on field trips?
A: Yes, we do take the children on field trips throughout the year. Some examples are Bronte Creek Park, seniors centre at Easter, bowling and the fire fighters also come to visit us at school.
